Ministry

Bible Class

Adult Bible Class takes place on Sunday mornings (Sept.-May) between services. There is also a Wednesday night Bible Study that meets for different portions of the year, depending on what is happening within the Church year. This class typically meets at 6:30 PM These classes are taught by Pastor Andy Schmidt and vary in topics from a specific book of the Bible, to looking at specific teaching or teachings (doctrine) of the Bible and how it applies to your life. Pastor Schmidt uses different methods at times to teach, such as the traditional “lecture” method, PowerPoint, TV and movies, etc. Take a look at our schedule on this website to find out what’s available!

Sunday School

Feeding Jesus’ lambs with God’s Word is important to us at Immanuel. Sunday between services (Sept.-May) we invite all children to enjoy an hour of Sunday school. The children start out in the worship sanctuary for singing and then dismiss to their respective classrooms for a lesson tailored to their individual age levels.

Confirmation Class

Our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders take part in a weekly confirmation class (Sept.-May) for approximately 25 lessons in preparation for acceptance as adult, confirmed members of the congregation. Confirmation class covers all the basic teachings of the Bible. Those teachings are broken up into six chief parts: The 10 Commandments, The Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Keys & Confession, and The Lord’s Supper.

Youth Group

Children fifth grade through seniors in high school are invited to participate in our youth group. The purpose of our youth group is to grow in grace, service, and outreach while having fun with our peers. The youth group plans regular activities throughout the year for fun and fellowship.

Boy & Girl Pioneers

Lutheran Pioneers exists to help in nurturing and training boys and girls in the Lord, so that they will remain faithful to Him and faithfully serve Him throughout their lives. They typically meet every month during the school year and participate in different activities such as canoeing, ice fishing, games, pumpkin patches and corn mazes, and an annual pine car derby. This is available for children in first through eight grades.
